Look into retransmits and packet loss. If it's only one device, check what wifi standards it supports and what your APs provide, then check for interference. If it's a Windows device, check it's not doing aggressive power save on your wlan chipset. If it's a newer Mac, make sure if you have mesh or range extenders that they're set up correctly.AmpliFi is just mediocre hardware with a ripped off clone of OpenWRT on it that Ubiquiti slapped their name on and refuses to honor the licensing agreement for the code they took. Even if you did not rack mount them, they were flat & small enough so you could fit them inside standard electrical box. The UDM-Pro was shut down and the UDR took it's place for six weeks. The UDR internet speed was max 650 Mbps on a 1 Gbps connection, on WiFi I could reach 600 Mbps - when using the UDM-Pro and the same AP's I got WiFi 700 Mbps. The UDR was stable and did a good job, in real life testing I could not feel the difference between WiFi 600 and 700 Mbps. I can attest to this.
